Dear friends.

We were a group of 6 adults (3 couples) and chose Casa Pipa for the beach location, the pool/outdoor space and the 3 bedrooms to offer us some privacy. Upon arrival, Manfred, your contact for the duration of your stay, gave us a tour and provided all the information we needed. We noticed that one room had two single beds but Manfred was able to get the staff to modify them and turn them into a double bed upon request. We needed a few other items during our stay and Manfred was responsive and helpful each time. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked a few times, but the restaurants in the area were great and we especially loved Cafe Mar Azul, directly across the street. The ladies provided excellent service, and were very friendly and kind. If you do plan on cooking, you will need to get your groceries outside the Palm Beach Estates complex as the only store there does not sell produce (drinks and packaged goods are available). The outdoor space at Casa Pipa was magical and the pool was great for dips during the hottest part of the day. We rented boogie boards at Playa Grande Surf Camp (right next to Cafe Mar Azul) and had the best time in the waves! Walking those few steps to the beach and enjoying the most spectacular sunsets was definitely a highlight of the trip. We all loved our time here and look forward to coming back 🙂

We loved this house! We just spent 10 days with our 3 kids and the house, pool, and beach were amazing! The house was very comfortable and fit my family and our nanny perfectly. The house had great amenities, modern furnishings and comfortable beds. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a lot of sun, beach, and surf. There are 2 nice little restaurants right across the street and a small corner store thats about a 4 minute walk. The location for playa grande is pretty much perfect. After traveling to several other beaches we came to realize we liked ours the best.
Manfredo the house keeper was also very responsive and easy to get a hold of. He was very nice, and answered any questions we had. You really can’t go wrong with this house!

We loved this house! The kitchen was well-equipped, and the outdoor grill was helpful. We arrived with a family member who has trouble walking, and the house was perfect for someone using a walker or a wheelchair. The en suite bathroom was a bit difficult to manage (too narrow for his walker), but he could walk that far. The pool has steps, so he was able to get in and out with assistance. The beach was magnificent! with fine, soft sand good for sand castles and surf that was fun without being terrifying. The ocean was warm (we were there in August). Although it was the rainy season, it only rained a couple of times during our 10-day stay. Many critters came to visit, including crabs, iguanas, howler monkeys, raccoons, plus a couple of skunks that passed us on the road. Using a GPS to get there was problematic until we gave it the name of the tiny hotel across the street; ask the host to give you that name. The back yard was very private, and although the area is considered to be a resort area, it was quiet with few cars and a very rural feel. There are a few small restaurants within easy walking distance, and a place to rent surfboards and other equipment across the street.

We are yearly visitors to playa grande and are so happy we found casa pipa! The location is perfect, walking distance to everything playa grande has to offer. The house was spotless and beautifully designed, with an outdoor area & pool that rivals most hotels we’ve stayed in. The kitchen was fully equipped and updated with anything you might need. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious and clean, with plenty of room to hang towels, clothing, and bathing suites. The private beach entrance is an awesome amenity. We are surfers and avid beach goers, so being able to come and go so easily was great. The outdoor living space is exactly what we were looking for to relax after surfing all day. We were lucky enough to be visited by the howler monkeys and even saw baby turtles hatching on the beach the last day!

We rented a car and could have easily fit another if needed. There is a locked gate and security system at the house, although we have never felt even remotely unsafe in playa grande.

Iris was an incredible host and Manfred (who lives close by) was available for anything we needed. His pastries are amazing and he offers local delivery which I would highly recommend. We will absolutely be back to stay at casa pipa! We miss it already.

Our stay was absolute paradise! Our family of four was lucky enough to stay in this property for a week. The check-in process with Manfred was easy and seamless. The house had everything we needed, full kitchen, bbq, and plenty of space to stretch out. Even the WiFi was great (we had to work a bit and had no issues). The real star though is the outside area. Where else can you wake up to hummingbirds and monkeys in the trees?! Plus our own private path to the most beautiful beach. The beach also felt private as we were the only ones there many times! The area around the house also had everything we needed – wonderful restaurants, bike rentals, a little store. Iris and Bjorn were wonderful hosts, even accommodating a last minute travel change to ensure we were comfortable. We can’t wait to return very soon!!! Thank you Iris and Bjorn!
