About Us

We are, – Iris and Bjorn, the owners of Casa Pipa. In 2000, we travelled around Costa Rica for the first time, equipped with backpacks, rolls of film and a pre-owned Lonely Planet….and instantly fell in love with this peaceful green paradise full of wonderful wildlife and natural beauty. After returning a few more times, we bought Casa Bonita in 2010 and have considered Costa Rica our second home ever since. Our son learned to swim in our pool and surf on this beach. We have had countless magical encounters with turtles, rays, shimmering fish, monkeys, anteaters, parrots and many other creatures here, and have always loved the fact that we are surrounded by the natural world. We ask you to be mindful of the fragility of this oasis – be a part of the solution and help us preserve this natural wonder!
